We are pleased to announce the addition of seven stellar community leaders to its esteemed board of directors. Erica Hansen, Lynn Herrick, John Murray, Wendy Nicoson, Carlos Oregon, Sherrie Simmons, and Ivo Tjan each bring executive-level leadership, unique talents and strategic vision to the Orange County-based organization.

Introducing Working Wardrobes’ New Board Members

  • Erica Hansen is an accounting executive with over 25 years of experience, having served in a variety of industries and companies ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 500. Hansen enjoys engaging with executive leadership to learn their organization’s challenges and help build solutions for growth and is passionate about using her talents and expertise to help others reach their full potential. She is looking forward to helping Working Wardrobes thrive by thinking outside of the box.
  • An innovative and engaging executive, Lynn Herrick is co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of BluCrest. With over two decades of leadership experience in a variety of roles, she is an expert problem solver with a passion for helping individuals achieve their dreams.
  • John Murray leads PIMCO’s global private commercial real estate team as a managing director and portfolio manager in its Newport Beach office. He is a U.S. Army Veteran with over two decades of investment and commercial real estate experience and holds degrees from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, MIT and Lehigh University.
  • Wendy Nicoson is Vice President & Plant General Manager at Edwards Lifesciences – the first female to serve in the position for the organization. She has over 20 years of experience holding roles such as Operations Director, Sourcing Director, Manufacturing Manager and Capital Equipment Manager. Nicoson is passionate about giving back and thrilled to contribute her talents to carry Working Wardrobes’ vision forward.
  • As CEO of Thinkbox Technology Group, Carlos Oregon has honed over 25 years of expertise in consulting, project management and operations. His dynamic leadership has played a pivotal role growth across diverse industries, from finance to healthcare and entertainment to government. Oregon is a proud Veteran and is deeply committed to community engagement, serving as a board member to multiple organizations in Orange County.
  • A transformational leader with a strong background in operations and technology, Sherrie Simmons is CEO and founder of SIMMS Solutions. Starting her career with Toyota, she has worked across various industries including healthcare, education, telecommunications and media. Simmons believes in showing up as the best version of herself day in and day out and is driven by continuous improvement and growth.
  • An entrepreneur with innovative leadership, Ivo A. Tjan is the Founder of CommerceWest Bank serving businesses throughout Southern California for over two decades. He is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of his clients, helping businesses achieve their goals, and supporting his community philanthropically. His compassion and empathy are deeply rooted, donating his talents to serve local organizations that help people with disabilities, individuals experiencing hardships and those battling life-threatening diseases.

Since 1990, Working Wardrobes has made an indelible mark in the lives of its clients and in the community. The goal of the organization is to positively impact every client’s collective way of life, from economical, emotional, and environmental perspectives. Every year, Working Wardrobes serves approximately 5,000 job seekers by providing no-cost assessments, training and certifications, career coaching, individualized employment plans, and professional wardrobing services.
