Client Milestones in Motion

Meet Lynnda: ‘Employment Milestone’

Lynnda came to Working Wardrobes ready for a fresh start after struggling with alcoholism and the consequences that followed. With support from our team, she rebuilt her confidence, enrolled in a Cornell University Human Resources professional certification course (earning straight A’s), and recently accepted a full-time role as a VIP concierge at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino. Today, Lynnda is moving forward with purpose.

Meet Ricardo: ‘Education Milestone’

Ricardo came to Working Wardrobes motivated to change his professional path—he just wasn’t sure what direction to take. He became the first graduate of our new workshop series, then immediately started exploring job leads and education options. With support from our team, Ricardo identified a pathway to become an automotive technician, toured Santa Ana College, and registered for classes. He’s now in his first semester of college—while working a full-time warehouse job with flexible hours to support his studies.

Meet Waleed: ‘Skilled Certification Milestone’

Waleed came to Working Wardrobes facing a major barrier: despite being an accomplished architect, he struggled to find work after immigrating from Egypt with his family. With support refining his resume and exploring new paths, he discovered a route to a preliminary teaching credential—until the cost of required coursework became a hurdle. Working Wardrobes partnered with another local nonprofit to help cover the program. Today, Waleed is working as a substitute teacher while completing classes to become a career/technical education instructor.
