Meet Edward

Edward came to Working Wardrobes with a clear vision of what he wanted: a career in banking and finance. What he didn’t have was a clear path forward. Because of some mistakes in his past, he knew getting hired at a bank would be incredibly difficult. That barrier felt huge—but it didn’t stop him from trying.

Edward dove into the coaching services at Working Wardrobes. Together with his coach, he explored career options that aligned with his skills and passion for finance. That’s when a new pathway emerged: becoming a mortgage loan officer. It was a chance to use his strengths, build a stable career, and move toward the future he imagined.

Once Edward had a plan, his tenacity kicked in. He updated his resume, practiced interviewing, and applied for roles with focus and determination. Within just one month of signing up with Working Wardrobes, he was hired.

To help him succeed in this new position, Working Wardrobes stepped in again—this time by helping Edward maintain stable transportation so he could reliably commute to work. With that support in place, he was able to show up, perform, and thrive.

Then, just shy of 90 days into the job—after studying hard and passing his licensing exams for nearly every state—Edward’s company let him go due to December budget cuts. It was a devastating blow, but he refused to let it define him.

Drawing on the confidence and tools he’d gained, Edward went right back into job search mode. And once again, within one month, he turned things around. He secured an even better position—this time earning 25% more than before.

Today, Edward is doing well in his new role and is excited about his career path in finance. He credits Working Wardrobes for walking alongside him during each twist and turn of his journey—and for helping him turn barriers into a launching pad for a brighter future.
