At Working Wardrobes, every client’s journey is supported by passionate, dedicated ChangeMakers who bring our mission to life. This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Bianca Herrera, our Director of Client Services, whose leadership and compassion help drive the heart of our programs.

Leading with Purpose

Over the past five years at Working Wardrobes, Bianca has served in several key roles, beginning with managing our dedicated volunteers. Now as Client Services Director, she leads efforts to provide personalized support through our Career Navigation and Career Development programs. Her team works directly with clients, offering the tools, training, and encouragement they need to achieve career success and long-term stability.

“There’s no greater joy than hearing about a client achieving a major milestone in their career journey,” Bianca shares. “Whether it’s enrolling in college for the first time, completing a skill-based certification, securing housing, or landing a new job—you can see their confidence build with each step.”

From Volunteer to Visionary

Bianca’s journey with Working Wardrobes began in 2020, during one of the organization’s most challenging moments—the warehouse fire. She started as a volunteer, answering the call to help, and soon realized her own values and career transition aligned perfectly with Working Wardrobes’ mission.

“I was introduced to Working Wardrobes through my previous company’s donation drive,” she recalls. “When I learned more about the organization, I knew it was a place where my personal experiences and values could make a difference.”

Since then, Bianca has held a variety of roles, from managing volunteers and collaborating with career coaches to facilitating workshops and now leading a department. Her ability to reimagine how we serve clients and volunteers has been pivotal to our growth.

“From rebuilding the Career Success Center after the fire, to unveiling our online volunteer portal, designing new curriculum, and rolling out new service programs, it’s been inspiring to witness the organization’s evolution,” she says.

A Passion for Growth and Discovery

Beyond her professional impact, Bianca’s adventurous spirit fuels her outlook on life. A fun fact? She once took a month-long solo trip through Europe during her “gap year,” a time of personal exploration that reminds her—and others—that “it’s never too late to do the things you love.”

Looking Ahead

As Working Wardrobes continues to grow and evolve, Bianca is excited about what’s next. “I’m thrilled to collaborate with this remarkable group of humble achievers—both internally and with our community partners—as we continue to innovate impactful ways to empower our clients and help them excel in their unique career journeys.”

Bianca embodies the essence of a ChangeMaker—resilient, empathetic, and driven by purpose. Through her leadership, thousands of clients have been met with the support and belief they need to succeed.
