Working Wardrobes’ inaugural Suit Up for Success event brought the Orange County community together in a powerful way — all in support of young adults preparing for the workforce.
Held at the Working Wardrobes Career Success Center, the event welcomed more than 100 supporters who donated hundreds of pieces of professional clothing and accessories to help young adults build confidence and prepare for employment opportunities.
More than 60% of the individuals served by Working Wardrobes last year were young adults working toward employment and economic stability. Suit Up for Success was created to help meet that growing need by providing professional attire and career readiness support to individuals taking important next steps toward their futures.
Throughout the afternoon, supporters arrived carrying suits, dresses, shoes, handbags, and professional attire — each donation representing an investment in someone’s future. As community members dropped off clothing, attendees gathered outside the Career Success Center to enjoy meals generously provided by Habit Burger & Grill, creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the day.
The impact continued to grow with a generous donation of 150 backpacks from Doing Good Works and Logan Altman. The backpacks will directly support youth-serving community partners, including Illumination Foundation, helping equip young people with resources and essentials as they prepare for school, work, and new opportunities.
From volunteers sorting donations, to partners showing up in support, to community members taking time out of their day to give back, Suit Up for Success demonstrated what is possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose. The event was more than a clothing drive — it was a reminder that confidence, opportunity, and encouragement can start with something as simple as showing up for one another.
