City of Hope Orange County: Where Cancer Loses and Life Wins

City of Hope Orange County, part of one of the largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations in the country and ranked among the top 5 in the nation for cancer care, is transforming cancer care for generations of people in Orange County and beyond.

Like Working Wardrobes, City of Hope Orange County is committed to improving the lives of the people in the communities it serves.

City of Hope came to Orange County in response to a pressing community need. Up to 20 percent of people with cancer were leaving the area to receive advanced cancer care, which created a burden on patients and their families.

Since City of Hope opened its first clinical location in Orange County in 2020, more than 35,000 patients have received City of Hope’s advanced cancer care in Orange County.

This year, City of Hope will open Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital on its academic cancer campus in Irvine, completing the continuum of cancer care. The hospital will be seamlessly connected to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center – Orange County’s most advanced comprehensive cancer center, which opened in 2022.

Patients at City of Hope Orange County benefit from the expertise of world-renowned physicians who solely focus on preventing, treating and curing cancer and more 700 cancer-focused clinical trials each year.

“We are fulfilling our promised to the people of Orange County to provide more local access to nationally recognized cancer expertise, lifesaving research and the most cancer-focused clinical trials in California,” said Annette Walker, President, City of Hope Orange County.
