Think back for a moment. How did you originally discover your current passions or talents? Did a chance meeting lead you to a new job or hobby? Regardless of how fleeting or long-lasting, what was that interaction that informed your life’s trajectory?
Now you can be that person, opening doors to possibilities for someone else!
Working Wardrobes provides career readiness services to thousands of individuals every year, including career assessments, soft skills trainings, resume preparation, job search strategies, mock interviews, personalized wardrobe services, and help finding and maintaining gainful employment.
In order to expand the career exploration components offered alongside the multitude of services Working Wardrobes has provided since 1990, your help is needed! You can help remove barriers to achieving meaningful, gainful employment by sharing:
- Informational interviews
- Job shadow opportunities
- Connections to people in your network
- Mentoring/coaching sessions
- Internship experience
- Workplace tours & more
Whether online, in person, or a combination of both, you can connect with individuals seeking guidance, experiences, and help on their employment journey.
By volunteering and sharing opportunity information HERE, the experience(s) you offer will become searchable to Working Wardrobes clients. When a recipient of services is seeking what you’re offering to share, you will be contacted prior to being connected directly with the client. (If the client is under 18, a background check is required.) The “B-Unbound” platform, built on over 25-years of research experience and success, was originally created with the intent of providing early career exploration by connecting youth with Supportive Adults and peers navigating their way through shared interests. That being said, it’s applicable to anyone assessing their employment situation.
The application of knowledge is equally as important as the accumulation of it – understanding the How and Why in addition to the What. YOU are the Who that can unearth human potential. Whether in person or online, a few hours a year or a few hours a month – you set the parameters – your real world experience and connections shared can shape early career decisions and set the stage for a lifetime of success.
