Alison Glik

Meet Alison Glik, one of the welcoming faces behind our front desk and a dedicated member of our Donation Center team. For the past four years, Alison has generously given her time to greet clients and donors with warmth and care—whether she's answering phones, supporting staff with clerical tasks, or ensuring donated clothing meets quality standards.

Alison's journey to Working Wardrobes is deeply personal. After starting her life over at age 55, she was able to build a career she loved thanks to the support of friends. That experience fueled her passion to give back. "Not everyone has the advantages I did when having to make a new start," she says. "When I heard about Working Wardrobes, I committed to volunteering when I retired—and that's what I did!"

For Alison, the most rewarding part of her work is helping clients feel seen and valued—and showing donors just how powerful their support is. One moment that stands out? Watching a regular client leave with a full bag of wardrobe essentials on his way to a new job—tears streaming down his face and a huge smile that said it all.

Alison believes the heart of Working Wardrobes lies in giving hope and dignity. "People don't need to be wealthy to make a difference," she reminds us. "Donating time or clothing is just as important as donating money."

And when she's not at Working Wardrobes? Alison's vacations revolve around one thing: wildlife. Unless she's visiting family in England, you'll likely find her off the grid, watching animals in their natural habitat.

Thank you, Alison, for your compassion, consistency, and the joy you bring to our mission every day!
