How long have you been with Working Wardrobes?

6 Months

What inspired you to join Working Wardrobes?

I was once a participant and received incredible support from the staff. I was really impressed by how they treated each Veteran with care and dignity. When a Peer Navigator role opened up, I knew I wanted to give back and help others the way I was helped.

What do you enjoy most about your work here?

I love seeing Veterans support one another. Being able to help someone overcome a challenge they’ve been facing—it puts a smile on my face and reminds me why this work matters.

Describe a memorable moment or project you’ve been part of at Working Wardrobes

One moment that stands out was when I helped a Veteran who was unsure about attending college. He felt overwhelmed. I told him about the Veterans Resource Center on campus and how they provide support for student Veterans. You could see the relief on his face—he knew he wasn’t alone.

What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

I love hearing jokes. A good laugh always brightens my day.

What are you most excited about for the future of Working Wardrobes?

I’m excited to see Working Wardrobes continue to grow, especially after recovering from the fire. I really hope the program can continue—it makes a real difference in Veterans’ lives.
