Working Wardrobes is proud to announce the 2026 Suit Society honorees, a distinguished group of community leaders whose generosity, leadership, and commitment help advance our mission of empowering people to overcome barriers and achieve meaningful employment.
The Suit Society recognizes individuals who go beyond supporting our work. They serve as ambassadors for Working Wardrobes, using their expertise, networks, and influence to create opportunities and strengthen our impact throughout Orange County.
This year, we are honored to recognize:
Karen Butera King, President, OC Women2Women
Karen is a longtime entrepreneur and community leader dedicated to empowering women and creating pathways to self-sufficiency. As President of OC Women2Women, she has helped strengthen partnerships and initiatives supporting underserved women throughout Orange County, including a meaningful partnership with Working Wardrobes. Through her leadership, OC Women2Women has invested in programs that help women build confidence, independence, and brighter futures.
Nicholas Kmetz, Estate Planning Attorney, Albrecht & Barney
Nicholas has been actively involved with Working Wardrobes for several years, including serving on our Legacy/Development Committee. Through donor education, legacy giving initiatives, and his expertise in estate planning, he has helped strengthen awareness of the many ways supporters can create a lasting impact. A longtime Orange County resident, Nicholas also remains active in volunteer service within the community.
Xandra Laskowski, Founder and CEO, OSEA Angel Investors
Through OSEA Angel Investors, Xandra has championed entrepreneurship, economic opportunity, and community investment. Since 2022, OSEA Angel Investors has supported Working Wardrobes while helping advance a shared commitment to workforce readiness and economic empowerment.
Lindsay Oglesby, CEO, Tax Relief Advocates
Lindsay has grown Tax Relief Advocates from 20 employees to more than 550 while making community engagement an important part of the company’s culture. Her involvement with Working Wardrobes has included volunteering alongside her team, supporting professional styling and career readiness initiatives, and serving as a panelist for our Justice Impacted Panel.
Mark Steiman, Vice President, Community Commitment Planning & Stewardship, Rady Children’s Health Orange County
Mark’s connection to Working Wardrobes stretches back to the organization’s earliest years. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to creating opportunities for others, including mentoring young professionals and supporting internship pathways for underserved youth. His continued leadership reflects a longstanding commitment to helping people overcome barriers to employment.
Our 2026 Suit Society honorees will be celebrated at The Great Opportunity Gala: Where Potential Shines and Futures Begin on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Hilton Irvine.
Inspired by the glamour and energy of the Roaring Twenties, this year’s gala will bring guests together for an unforgettable evening in support of Working Wardrobes and the people we serve. The celebration begins with a reception featuring a silent auction and Speakeasy Cocktail Casino, followed by dinner, an inspiring program, and the recognition of our 2026 Suit Society honorees. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening with glamorous 1920s-inspired attire.
