Meet Rafael

Rafael came to Working Wardrobes with a single goal: to get back to union work. He had started his journey as an apprentice, but after a difficult detour in life, he found himself working hard to rebuild stability and return to the career path he truly wanted.

Reestablishing himself with the local laborer’s union was a long process, and Rafael was determined to see it through. What he needed most wasn’t a new direction—it was support to stay steady and keep moving forward during the waiting period. From the moment he joined our program, Rafael showed up with commitment and focus, attending every coaching session and workshop available.

With career guidance and support for basic necessities, Rafael was able to maintain momentum, stay grounded, and keep his goal in sight. That steady encouragement made all the difference.

Today, Rafael has achieved what he came for: a full-time union position. He’s deeply grateful for the support he received and proudly shares the mission of Working Wardrobes everywhere he goes—because he knows firsthand what confidence and community can help make possible.
