Meet Mathew

Matthew, a 20-year-old with a remarkable sense of responsibility and resilience, has faced significant challenges in his young life. After two years of homelessness, he and his father recently secured stable housing. As the primary caregiver for his father, who struggles with mobility challenges and progressive blindness, Matthew is committed to building a stable future for both of them.
Despite limited work experience, Matthew’s determination to create a better life for his family led him to Working Wardrobes. Through the services offered, he received a professional headshot and a new suit, tools that gave him the confidence and professionalism needed for his job search. Alongside this, Matthew received career advice that helped him set realistic goals and approach his job search with a renewed sense of purpose.
Currently, Matthew is completing VA caregiver training and working toward obtaining his driver’s license to better support his father full-time.
Matthew’s story is a powerful reflection of the strength and resilience of veteran families. With the support of Working Wardrobes, he is steadily moving toward a brighter, more secure future, filled with confidence and new opportunities.
