Richard’s journey with Working Wardrobes began when he was living in a sober living facility. After attending a presentation we gave at the home, he took a bold step forward—reaching out to become a client. From the beginning, Richard had a clear vision for his future. He just needed the right support system to get there.
That first connection sparked a powerful transformation. Through our Workforce Readiness Workshop Series, one-on-one coaching, and guidance from our team, Richard worked hard to build the foundation for a new career. He earned his RADT (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician) and CPR certifications, and was determined to pursue a path where he could help others facing similar struggles.
Richard then joined our Work Experience (WEX) Program, where he gained real-world experience and sharpened his skills in a hands-on setting. His work ethic, positive attitude, and growth mindset didn’t go unnoticed.
Now, Richard has come full circle—from client to colleague. We’re proud to welcome him back to Working Wardrobes, this time as our Warehouse Coordinator.
In addition to his role on our team, Richard is also employed as a Substance Abuse Behavior Technician—a position that aligns closely with his passion for helping others and supporting those on the path to recovery.
Richard’s journey is more than a success story—it’s a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people are empowered with the right tools, resources, and support.
