OC Veterans Stand DownEach and every one of our clients makes up an important part of Working Wardrobes. We are honored to serve nearly 5,000 men and women every year, empowering them to successfully re-enter the workforce with dignity and pride. These men and women have honorably put their lives on the line for their country and now find themselves in need of the basic, every day necessities to live or many times homeless. On Sept. 17 and 18, we are proudly teaming up with various local agencies to host Orange County’s first Stand Down event for our veterans and their families at Santa Ana Community College. Four hundred veterans will be provided with much-needed services such as shower facilities, clothing, haircuts, grooming and food, culminating in a graduation ceremony to mark the occasion. This event is very special in that we are collaborating with 13 other agencies to bring back the feelings of pride and accomplishment that many of these veterans felt during their service. On this day, we want to make an impact in their lives by empowering them to feel dignified and self-assured as they re-enter the workforce once again as proud men and women. How You Can Help
It is only with your support that we can serve those who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Please join us in making this event an unforgettable one for our veterans. Watch the video below for a testimony of how we were able to help an Iraq war veteran re-enter the workforce through our services. For more information on how you can help, you may also call 714-210-2460 or email MarloK@workingwardrobes.org.
