Join us for a life-transforming day as we serve and empower residents of 15 local partner agencies (throghout Orange County, Los Angeles and Inland Empire) through a variety of complimentary services:
- Motivational and presentation skills seminars
- Personal grooming services
- Wardrobe selection
- Career Fair
- Finale
The Men's Day of Self-Esteem is a crowning achievement to the 125 male participants, who have completed a series of five weeks of "Career Success" workshops facilitated by Working Wardrobes Success Coaches.
About the Career Success Workshop
Our signature curriculum provides an uplifting internal transformation to prepare clients to re-enter the workforce with confidence. The Career Success Workshops:
- Provide an opportunity for clients to define and appreciate marketable skills
- Focus on attainable job goals and help clients adopt a winning attitude
- Prepare clients to successfully present themselves to prospective employers
- Teach clients how to manage their career so they can move up and earn more
Curriculum, handbook and workshop materials are provided by Working Wardrobes for the Success Coaches and workshop participants.
The Significance of the Day of Self-Esteem
Re-entry into the world of work poses real barriers to men who need a self-esteem boost and the professional attire to make a good first impression in an interview. The Day of Self-Esteem provides job ready candidates with the final touches they need to feel confident in an interview and on the job.
Last year's Men's 'Day of Self-Esteem' was a great success. Nearly 120 men attended from eight shelters! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
