Kahuna Golf Classic September 27, 2007 Strawberry Farms Golf Course

Presented by Speak: Philanthropic Social Club, the Kahuna Golf Classic is a Hawaiian-themed, 18-hole scramble format tournament featuring a celebrity auction. The event is benefiting the new partnership between Working Wardrobes and Habitat for Humanity of Orange County.

For the past 17 years, Working Wardrobes has helped nearly 35,000 men and women in crises by providing professional wardrobing and career development services. Habitat for Humanity has also been dedicated to this same at-risk population, working to end substandard housing while building a stronger community. Working Wardrobes will provide new Habitat for Humanity homeowners with a Career Success workshop series that includes topics from interview techniques to financial literacy, as well as professional wardrobing and grooming services. Together, Working Wardrobes and Habitat for Humanity will help homeowners thrive in their careers and become self-sufficient.

The Kahuna Golf Classic will be hosted at Strawberry Farms Golf Club, a par-71 course set amid canyons and wetlands providing the finest golf experience in Orange County. The day will include 18 holes of golf in a scramble format, lunch, a variety of contests and an Awards Dinner hosted by NBC4’s Paul Johnson.

Registration and lunch will begin at 12:00 and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00.
