SponsorsA sincere THANK YOU to all the sponsors who made this day possible for 450 young women: Caché; Chapman University; Cookie Lee Jewelry; CosmoGirl Prom; FedEx; Cathy Zurn-Gannon; Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; Jaqua Beauty; Junior League of Orange County; Mary Kay; Nordstrom; Orange County Sheriff's Department; Sephora; Seventeen; and Vogue Prom.
"Dear Corporate Donors: We are grateful for the inspiration that has motivated us to reach higher and acheive our dreams. We will never forget your generous gift of this experience! Sincerely, Stephanie M."
Ugly Betty's Becki NewtonWorking Wardrobes would like to extend a special thank you to Becki Newton who plays the enviable yet loveable Amanda on ABC's hit series Ugly Betty. Becki brought with her a message that all women are beautiful, and her words perfectly set the tone for the day! Becki and friend, actress Vedette Lim, joined us for the entire day, speaking to volunteers and Cinderellas, and then working as personal shoppers!
Setting the sceneWorking Wardrobes collected more than 2,500 dresses, 400 pairs of shoes, 2,000 sets of jewelry, and many, many magazines to create a beautiful Prom Dress Boutique, treasure mapping (goal-setting) workshop and etiquette class.
The arrival! This year, Working Wardrobes invited young women in economic need from the Garden Grove Unified School District, Orangewood Children's Foundation and Los-Angeles-based Dream Girls & Distinquished Gentlemen. We thank our partner organizations for their support!
Becoming Cinderellas for Life! Thanks to more than 350 outstanding corporate and community volunteers, prom dreams came true, potential was realized and friends were made. You each played an important role in making this day one our Cinderellas will remember forever. "Dear Volunteers, This day made us realize that everything is possible and that we are all valuable human beings. Today we all felt like true Cinderellas/Princesses. With this experience, we can teach the next generation about the importance of being a lady and dreaming BIG. With love, Christina A."
